1.  The reading states that “… to elicit criticism where it would be helpful is a leadership skill that must be cultivated.”  Why do you think it is important to encourage your subordinates to be critical of your organization and even of you?

 

2.  What does the reading say is one of the main characteristics of poor listeners?  Why would this be the case?

 

3.  The reading states that in certain situations, a principle responsibility for the junior is careful second judgment.  What does the author mean by “careful second judgment”?
