DIRECTIONS TO THE BARRACKS

Enter Elmendorf Air Force Base through the Boniface gate.  This may be done by approaching on Boniface or by taking the Boniface exit from the Glenn Highway.  If you do not have a base sticker, you must check in at the visitor’s center.  You will need to have your driver’s license, registration, and proof of insurance.  When you enter the center, you will be asked the nature of your visit.  Inform the desk you are escorting your cadet to the Chugiak/Service High School’s NJROTC Summer Camp.

Proceed  through the gate.  Vandenburg will turn into Artic Warrior Drive,   Stay to the left.  The road winds and turns but, stay on this road!   You will then turn right on Fairchild (the fifth light after entering the gate) there is a gas station on the left as a reference point.  Travel on Fairchild for about 2 tenths of a mile until you come to Fighter Drive.  Make a left and then a right on Doolittle just across from the Base Chapel.  Chinook Hall (Building 8126) is the third barracks as you turn onto Doolittle Ave.  There will be cadets in the area to guide you to the induction area.  Remember that we share this summer camp with the NJROTC Program at Service High School, so ask for a Chugiak cadet to get to the right check in area.
